Parrot Survey in Sorong

Through Yayasan Paruh Bengkok Indonesia, we held 4 species of parrots population survey in Sorong regency. It was a project asked by Fauna & Flora International. One of the reasons for surveying these parrots are there are still many illegal trade of Palm cockatoo, Papuan eclectus parrot, Sulphur crested cockatoo, and Black-capped lory happening. Therefore we need to know whether they still in a good population in the forest of Sorong regency, West Papua.

The survey is still happening and we also asked to give knowledge sharing to forestry rangers, about bird health care management for birds which kept after confiscation.
